I have 20 years of technical writing and business process analysis experience. I have worked for Microchip Technology, Aviation Communication & Surveillance Systems (ACSS), Boeing, iRobot, ASM America, Freescale Semiconductor, Intel, Lucent Technologies, Submicron Technologies (Thailand), and Honeywell International, among other high-tech companies, and have assisted several of them in securing ISO 9000 certification by writing their quality manuals and procedures. My technical writing skills include:
	Planning, researching, analyzing, organizing, documenting, and validating systems and processes.
	Applying Information Mapping and business process improvement (BPI) methodologies to the technical writing effort.
	Providing desktop and Web-based publishing services, including graphic arts support, book building, and delivery.
	Editing technical information for accuracy, clarity, completeness, conciseness, adherence to standards, spelling, grammar, and punctuation.
	Translation services: German to English and English to German.

I enjoy applying my technical writing skills to the development of Web sites for bed and breakfasts and country inns (see box). I have a solid understanding of Web site design and an eye for translating the essence of an owner's inn—its architecture, history, furnishings and special touches, guest services, and area attractions—into an attractive electronic brochure.
